ABOUT ABOUT

In our 4th year of this annual spring tradition, we invite you to join us in celebration of Kirkbride Elementary at A Night Out 2019! Supporters, neighbors, teachers, and parents will gather for an evening of local food, cocktails, raffle baskets, and an awesome live and silent auction.

Support from our previous three events directly led to the completion of phase 1 of our playground project in Summer 2018, and now we're keeping it moving for phase 2 to add more equipment for our students in the schoolyard.

The event will be held at The Workshop at Bok, just blocks away from Kirkbride School in South Philadelphia. The evening will include a performance from the Kirkbride Orchestra, and guests will bid on great auction items including event tickets, exclusive dining opportunities, artwork and more.

Tickets are on sale for $30 in advance online and $40 at the door. We also welcome you to sponsor a Kirkbride teacher to attend for $30. We invite parents of current Kirkbride students to  attend with a $10 ticket.

About Kirkbride Elementary
Eliza B. Kirkbride Elementary is an outstanding K-8 public elementary school located in South Philadelphia.  We educate over 550 children in our community, representing more than 30 different ethnicities, and many new immigrants. Over 46% of our students receive services for English as a Second Language, with Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and Khmer being the primary native languages of our students. Kirkbride is recognized by Pennsylvania as a National Title 1 Distinguished School.  We have one of the highest proficiency rates in math and English language arts in the city of Philadelphia.  Kirkbride’s mission is to develop, educate, and nurture our children through the collective efforts of the teachers, parents, and community members.

The Friends of Kirkbride was formed in 2014 by parents and community members as a grassroots effort to build support for the students, teachers, and families of Kirkbride Elementary School. To learn more about our activities, visit our Facebook page.
